Time for Transition!

Greetings from a HOT summer day in Colorado — I hope you enjoy these photos of Colorado skies!

About this month: my friend, Megan, said it best:

pack, pack, pack, clean, pack, eat, pack, sleep, pack, teach, pack, debrief, pack, pack.

Yep, that’s been my month.

I close on my current home next week, and on my new home on July 31st! It’s happening!

This month, there have also been sweet times with friends and family, effective ministry opportunities, long morning walks, hosting visitors, and the joys of purging, downsizing, filling trash bins, and giving. 😊

Our young adult Bible study group has come to an end after two years of weekly learning, discussion, and prayer. It’s been so fun and always encouraging to be with people who sincerely love Jesus and want to say “Yes!” to Him every day. Who knows, we may start another group after I settle into my new place, but for now, this season is over, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to hang out with such cool people.

On most Sundays, I jaunt north to Carpenter, Wyoming (population 93) and will continue doing so through September. Carpenter Friends in Faith Church gathers on Sunday evenings for Bible teaching and to enjoy community. I’m teaching about “The Lord’s Prayer” line by line and the foundational principles that establish it as an all-inclusive prayer model. Jesus’ strategy amazes me … we’re looking at every component of His prayer through the lens of “Our Father”. I’ve been learning a lot and having fun through the research and teaching processes!

We’re in the planning stages for the Fall 10-week session of the Colorado School of Worship! If you’re interested in attending this school, please let me know and I’ll send you the information.

Here’s an opportunity for you: Get the Word Out has partnered with a missionary family for about 20 years. They serve Jesus by developing software for Bible translation, with the goal of making the Bible freely available in every possible language. To date, they have more than 335 million Scripture deliveries from their Bible web sites! These conferences are vital to the health, challenge, inspiration, and growth of their work.
