Bible Engagement, and More …

This month, my eyes feasted on autumn colors in the northeast of our beautiful country! It’s long been on my bucket list to visit New England in the fall of the year and the trip did not disappoint! Together with my friend, Laura — a missionary working with children with disabilities in Haiti — we spent one gorgeous week driving through six states at a relaxed pace, eating simply, strolling through fallen leaves, visiting with the locals, and resting comfortably at an Airbnb in New Hampshire. We also enjoyed visits with cousins who lived along our route, watched movies, read books, and accomplished very little work. A true holiday! Enjoy the photos 😊

Scripture Listening for Meditation

Did you know that our Word CDs have gone digital? They are now available for streaming on multiple platforms like Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, and more. Most of the English topics are currently available to stream, with more on the way very soon! Add Get the Word Out as a “favorite artist” on your streaming platform-of-choice.

Each topic-focused album includes Spirit-led music and the reading of Scripture, with time given between readings to pray, memorize, sing, write about, sketch, or meditate on the Scripture. These recordings can also be used in conjunction with topical studies or played as a background, helping to keep the Word of God in your heart and mind.

Instrumental recordings are also available and are great for background music as you pray, or simply for providing a peaceful atmosphere. Some people enjoy creating their own melodies and lyrics as they listen to the music. There is no Scripture reading on the instrumental recordings.

Advent Bible Study

A few years ago, I was in search of a Bible study for the Christmas season. I explored several options, and in my frustration, decided to just write the kind of study I was looking for. Haha! With the Advent season on the horizon, I’d like to suggest that you (and your family or small group?) engage in this study. Welcome to Earth, Jesus! is an invitation to revisit a familiar story in new and creative ways! You will learn how to study the Bible while you’re studying because this guide employs about ten different study methods. Your perspective on the Christmas story will change as you spend time with Jesus, getting His perspective on His own story. You may order hard copies or e-books on the books page.
