Jamaican Creole Bible Project
GOD DID IT IN ONE YEAR!
Mother Teresa said it best: “I cannot do what you can do and you cannot do what I can do, but the two of us together can do something beautiful for God.”
As of January 1st, 2014, an average of 30 people are interacting with the Jamaican Creole New Testament each day through the Digital Bible, growing to over 18,000 people worldwide who have engaged this language digitally. This confirms that many Patois speakers are finding spiritual comfort in God’s Word presented in their heart language. Outside of the Caribbean, the Jamaican Creole New Testament is being listened to in North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, Africa, and Japan.
Plans are underway to implement a pilot project of the first-ever listening groups in Jamaica, using the Jamaican Creole New Testament. A shipment of 40 Proclaimers is tentatively scheduled for February, when training is planned for those who will implement the Faith Comes By Hearing listening groups through local churches in both rural and urban areas. Your prayers for Patois-speaking people are being answered! Please continue to pray that God will glorify Himself in and through these new ventures – and that He would prepare the hearts of the leaders and hearers.
Praise God that He always makes a way – and thank you for being His way for the Patois-speaking people around the world! 🙂

We can think of nothing more eternally impacting and exciting than providing the Bible in the heart-language of a people group who has never had it before! Specifically, Get the Word Out! has financed the recording and distribution of the first-ever audio Jamaican Creole New Testament! Simultaneously, Faith Comes By Hearing is partnering with Wycliffe Bible Translators to publish the Jamaican Creole Bible in written form.
